The charter contract is concluded between the renter of the yacht (charter customer) and the lessor of the yacht (charter company). CHARTERBAR Yachting acts as an intermediary, authorized collection agency that acts as a mediator and advises in the event of a dispute.
The list charter prices and the payment terms are set by the respective charterers and are binding for agencies. Any additional discount that the agency grants to the customer reduces the customer's commission.
The agency's services are free of charge for the charter customer. In the event of a successful booking, the agency service is paid by the charterer to the agency in the form of a commission.
There are various special insurers who, in addition to the skipper liability and deposit insurance that we strongly recommend, also offer other charter-specific insurance. It is advisable to seek insurance advice from a specialist insurer.
Just as with the charter price, additional services such as outboard motors, bed linen, etc. are also determined by the charterer. The included, obligatory and optional services are already shown in the offers.
The charter companies have different cancellation policies, which are set out in the respective terms and conditions and can be found out about in advance from us. Trip postponements are usually agreed upon individually with the charter company.
