Aktio Airport is only a few minutes from the harbor and in season (May–October) is served by direct flights from many German cities as well as Vienna. Alternatively, scheduled flights via Athens go to Preveza. Those arriving by car can cross from Italian ferry ports to Igoumenitsa – from there it is around 85 km to Preveza.

The marina lies right at the entrance to the Ambracian Gulf. Navigation is straightforward as long as you keep to the buoyed fairway. The high season runs from June to September with stable winds (Maestro 3–4 Bft) and warm temperatures – perfect for families and relaxed cruises. The water reaches 21–25 °C in summer, and storms are rare.

A detour into the Gulf of Amvrakikos is worthwhile for nature lovers: dolphins, loggerhead sea turtles, and over 290 bird species make the area one of the most important wetlands in Greece. At the same time, historic sites such as Nikopolis or the ruins of Kassopi invite short shore excursions.
Routes to the north: Paxos, Antipaxos & Corfu
Those sailing north from Preveza first reach Antipaxos with its turquoise bays – ideal for swimming and snorkeling. Afterwards, Paxos offers charming places like Gaios or Lakka as well as impressive cliffs and sea caves. The highlight of a northern route is Corfu with its historic old town, Venetian fortresses, and numerous bays.
Routes to the south: Lefkada, Ithaca, Kefalonia & Zakynthos
South of Preveza begins the diverse island world of Lefkada – known for green hills, gorgeous beaches, and lively coastal towns. Further south, Ithaca lures with impressive hiking trails and Kefalonia with idyllic bays and caves. Zakynthos is famous for the Blue Caves and the marine national park, where sea turtles are often seen.
